PLANE THEFT
is an Italian alternative duo formed by Tommaso “Tomm” Monaco (vocals, bass, production) and Mattia “Sotto” Sottoriva (guitar, backing vocals). Originally founded in 2021 as a trio under the name Cove, the band made their public debut in 2024 with the single "Rain", released through Orangle (now Mendaki). The debut earned key features across digital and printed indie press. Following early lineup changes, Plane Theft embraced a fiercely independent DIY identity under Monaco’s Laundry Room Records, culminating in their blistering alt-rock anthem "Sorry, Satan".

"She" is an energetic alt-rock track blending the swagger of Fontaines D.C. and Oasis with the heavy, gaze-y textures of MBV. It’s a bittersweet love letter to our home country, Italy, about the frustration of loving a place that doesn't always love you back. We even ran screwdrivers over the guitar strings to build some of the atmospheric textures, taking a cue from Godspeed You! Black Emperor. Pushing this hard with guerrilla TikToks, ad campaigns, and support from indie playlist curators.
